5 Signs of a Failing Heater Hose

Heater hoses are part of a vehicle's cooling and cabin-heating systems. They carry coolant between the engine and heater core, allowing heat from the coolant to warm the air entering the passenger compartment.

Repeated exposure to engine heat, cooling-system pressure, coolant, vibration, and movement can cause a heater hose or its connectors to deteriorate. A damaged hose may leak coolant, reduce heater performance, or contribute to an engine temperature problem.
